In 2005, Central Virginia Health Network (CVHN) established one of the nation’s largest Offsite Reprocessing Centers (ORC). The ORC offers highly efficient outsourcing of surgical instrument reprocessing and operating room procedure based-case cart preparation, as well as instrument maintenance and repair. The 67,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art facility is centrally located in Richmond, VA.
The success of this innovative partnership was highlighted in the November 2006 issue of Managing Infection Control.
